HIGHWAYS® November/December 1998 by Bob Livingston:

"TIP OF THE MONTH: No traditional RV get-together is complete without the warmth and ambience of a nice campfire. Unfortunately, weather and environmental conditions preclude the use of an open fire ring in many areas, and many RV parks have no provisions for building a fire at all.  A new product, PIT-2-GO®, allows RVers to have a campfire in virtually any location---and it doubles as a barbecue…….."

ROADS TO ADVENTURE™ Spring 1999 by Jack Innis:

"Best Grillfriends: This hefty (42 pound) barbecue doubles as a portable campfire container that keeps fires off the ground.  Folds to 16 ¼ x 3 ½ x 20 ¼ inches and provides a 210 square inch chrome cooking grid.  Cooks with wood or charcoal…….."

Pop UP Times June 1999 by Dave Newhouse:

"Take Your Campfire With You: One of the perks of working for a camping magazine is companies send us some really neat camping goodies to review.  This past March we received a portable fire pit from PIT-2-GO® along with a superb set of BBQ tools……After several minutes of assembly we loaded the fire box with kindling and wood.  Then we inserted the charcoal grate and got some charcoal burning to cook a very basic camp-type dinner of burgers, hot dogs and roasted corn on the cob.  The BBQ tools made the food preparation fun because they’re made for outdoor cooking.  Afterwards we used the supplied “Grabber” handle to pickup the charcoal grate and dump its contents into the fire box which started the kindling on fire. CAMPING LIFE™July / August 1999 New Products

"HAVE CAMPFIRE, WILL TRAVEL: Having a campfire whenever you want one isn’t always easy. Not every campground has fire rings and it is often difficult to contain a fire on the beach, in the park, or even your back yard. However, if you are one of those folks who thinks no camping trip is complete without sitting by the campfire and roasting marshmallows, the PIT-2-GO® Campfire and Bar-b-que is the answer to your camping prayers……."

MAXIM December 1999 Grinder Torture Test #1 over four (4) others tested

"VERDICT:  The damn thing is pure genius. If it were up to us, building a campfire anywhere, anytime would be absolutely legal....... Taste Test: "This grill is not the fastest, but cooks the most beautifully," said an admiring Marc Palazzo, our hardworking tailgate chef. He dug the ventilation holes in the sides, which "keep the coals burning like a good cigar". "These burgers are perfectly charred" said Sal, who owns two restaurants.  He declared the PIT-2-GO® the "best grill of 'em all"......."
